Day 15: Waterton Lakes National Park
After having spent a week at Glacier NP I decided to break up camp and head into Canada a day earlier than planned. I considered camping overnight at the Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, geographically contiguous with Glacier NP, just north of the border crossing. But the weather forecast wasn’t looking great for the next couple days and I was planning to pick up my friend Ahmer at Calgary airport in two days, so I decided to just stop at Waterton Lakes for a short hike at the Bear’s Hump trail, then proceeded onward to Calgary to take a couple days off from camping.
Distance hiked: 1.6 mi; elevation gain: 722 ft
