Day 27: Cirque Peak
Cirque Peak! One of my favorite hikes of the trip. Starting near the Bow Lake situated by the scenic Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper, we climbed up to Helen Lake. Then did a brutally steep but relatively short hike up to the summit of Cirque Peak, enjoying endlessly stretching, panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountain and glacier country. Ended the day with a satisfying dinner by the campfire and some clear-sky stargazing.
